Responsible, efficient water use is a permanent priority for us. As a result, 100% of our plantations have technified irrigation, and in recent years we have incorporated modern telemetry and remote irrigation control systems, allowing us to reduce water consumption throughout the entire production process. For irrigation, El Cerrito draws on water rights we own in the Elqui River basin and in the Estero Derecho river basin.

Through highly efficient storage systems, drip irrigation, telemetry systems in the canals from which we capture the water we use, and remote irrigation control systems, we work to achieve the highest standards of efficiency and sustainability in the use of this resource.

We have two state-of-the-art technological systems that give us real-time information on climate, irrigation, soil moisture and water sources, allowing us to make the best agronomic decisions and generate continuous, measurable improvements in the efficient and sustainable use of water, electrical and fertilizer resources.
